Environment & Sustainable development
Design and implementation of environmental projects; environmental audits and assessments.
Who we are, what we do, and what that changes for the projects we support.
Supporting public, private and community stakeholders in the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative, sustainable and inclusive projects, serving socio-economic and environmental development across Africa.
CIRED-AFRIQUE is a pool of experts working towards inclusive, sustainable and evidence-based development, putting technical and scientific expertise at the service of African communities.
Our assignments start in the field. The communities concerned take part in setting priorities and in reading the findings — not as a formality, but because their knowledge corrects what analysis conducted from a distance cannot see.
To become the reference technical partner in Central Africa for the evaluation of sustainable development projects.
CIRED-AFRIQUE is a duly incorporated company registered in Chad. The references below are those that appear on our proposals and contracts.
Six complementary fields. Most assignments draw on several: an environmental assessment calls for socio-economic studies, an infrastructure project calls for support to the teams who will operate it.
Design and implementation of environmental projects; environmental audits and assessments.
Socio-economic and environmental studies; market and marketing research.
Monitoring and supervision of civil engineering, energy and sanitation works.
Workshops, seminars and training programmes tailored to local needs.
Organisational and institutional audits; performance evaluations and strategic support.
Participatory mapping, geospatial databases and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Between December 2025 and May 2026, three field surveys carried out for African Parks Network, covering 1,490 households across three provinces. The CCI — Community Conservation Index — rates out of 100 the relationship between neighbouring communities and the protected area.
Socio-economic and livelihoods assessment, participatory mapping and SWOT analysis.
Strong support for conservation, at 74%, and a priority investment matrix drawn up village by village.
23 villages across three provinces; a positive relationship with rangers reported by 66.2% of households.
What sets an assignment led by CIRED-AFRIQUE apart.
Local communities are part of the process, from setting priorities through to reading the findings.
Engineering, research and evaluation within one team, rather than subcontracted separately.
Projects are designed to hold up once the consultants leave: resilient works, skills handed over.
Academic and technical partners across Africa and beyond, brought in according to the nature of the assignment.
Digital collection with Kobocollect and Survey123, analysis in SPSS, mapping in QGIS; CCI and SWOT protocols and participatory assessments.
Up to 751 households surveyed on a single assignment, in remote terrain: deploying and supervising enumerator teams is part of what we do.
Five priorities on the way to becoming the reference technical partner in Central Africa. Each carries its forecast budget.
ISO certification, fully digital surveys, technological innovation.
